The Port of Portland

The Port has expertise in transportation logistics and access to business parks that currently serve 27,000 local jobs and generate $1.8 billion in wages. The T2 Building Innovation Hub will be located at the Port’s Terminal 2 location, ideal for distributing mass timber products around the region.

Oregon Department of Forestry

ODF is responsible for regulating, protecting, and managing Oregon’s forests. ODF is committed to growing a vibrant and innovative forestry and wood products sector, which is responsible for more than $18.1 billion in economic output and provides over 71,000 jobs to Oregonians across many parts of the state.

Business Oregon

Business Oregon brings together Coalition partners to support and develop the mass timber industry, which is vital to the economic prosperity of Oregonians, especially in rural areas. Business Oregon, the state's economic development agency, supports investment in the innovation of the mass timber industry and facilitates the development of the industry’s ecosystem.

University of Oregon

The University of Oregon is the state’s flagship liberal arts institution and one of only two institutions in the Pacific Northwest that is a member of the Association of American Universities. The School of Architecture and Environment within the College of Design is nationally recognized for its innovation in sustainability research including the design and performance of buildings, interiors, landscapes and communities.

Oregon State University

Oregon State University is the state’s land-grant university and boasts the internationally recognized College of Forestry, which advances both research and outreach to translate scientific knowledge to policy to sustain healthy forest ecosystems.

TallWood Design Institute

Established in 2015, the TallWood Design Institute is a collaboration between UO’s College of Design and OSU’s Colleges of Forestry and Engineering, dedicated to promoting economic development and environmental stewardship by advancing research and education in timber manufacturing, design, and construction.

Oregon Department of Land Conservation & Development

DLCD works in partnership with local governments and state and federal agencies to address the land use needs of local communities, regions, and the state, including assessing local housing needs and increasing housing supply and choice. DLCD is identifying barriers to mass timber construction and building community participation.
